JOB SUMMARY


Located at our headquarters in Milton Keynes, the
Head of Land Operations will oversee operational responsibility for all land-based experiences including but not limited to production shows, touring experiences, immersive experiences, site development & fitness programmes.

The Head of Land Operations will be responsible for assisting in strategic planning for production operations, client delivery, department financial planning/oversight and implementation of processes and procedures for the department.

In addition, the Head of Land Operations will function as a key client facing stakeholder for the overall successful operation for both existing and new projects while working together with project managers, other service departments, and the Board of Directors.


KEY TASKS

Role & Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the daytoday and longterm operations of the Land department, ensuring all divisions are communicating effectively throughout the production processes with other departments and clients.
  • Effectively manage overall workflow of the Land department with a strong focus on financial performance.
  • Liaise with Project Management, and Creative team members to ensure efficient communication and collaboration as projects develop.
  • Guiding new experience build processes and assisting to interpret client directives & creative vision.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to allocate resources to new projects as needed.
  • Develop comprehensive contractor/employee database for efficient hiring processes.
  • Budget oversight per division and on a perproject basis along with client negotiation, contracting and invoice process.
  • Continuously collecting, translating, and representing concerns for the operational needs of the department to the Board of Directors.
  • Develop operational best practices that helps elevate the company's brand and reputation as leaders in operating entertainment and experiences for the leisure and attractions industry.
  • Work with clients to ensure their goals and objectives are being met, while keeping best interests of company in mind.
  • Forge strong partnerships with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and stronger operational practices.
  • Cultivate teams that embrace and curate innovation.
  • Uphold client satisfaction expectations and facilitate quality control standards.
  • Mentor, train and advise fellow team members.
  • Ensure effective and efficient management of projects across all operations including sharing of resources as needed for a costeffective approach.
  • Develop and implement inclusive and equitable policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with external HR to proactively address concerns and provide issue mitigation as new concerns arise.

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to identify, develop, and drive adoption of new project management techniques.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, projects, ad hoc assignments, and deadlines.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong ability in analysing finances and understanding to create project budgets.
  • Effective communicator, supervisor, and organiser.
  • Results oriented, flexible, and innovative approach.
