We are seeking an accomplished individual to join a dynamic team within a public body dedicated to steering transformative corporate change.

This unique opportunity calls for a PMO Lead with expertise in Planview, contributing to the organisation's mission of delivering impactful projects across the public sector.

This role is offering flexibility with mostly WFH, although there will be some local travel across Scotland required, so being based within a reasonable distance to the Edinburgh office is preferred.


The Role:

As a PMO Lead, your primary responsibility will be to serve as the Planview expert within the central portfolio team.

You will play a pivotal role in configuring and administering the Planview system, ensuring user training to enhance adoption across the wider team.

Your duties will encompass gathering project data, crafting comprehensive documentation and reports, and actively contributing to the establishment, development, and monitoring of Programme and Portfolio Management processes.

Your analytical skills will be crucial in identifying interdependencies, risks, and issues, aiding decision-making within programme teams.

Furthermore, you will play a key part in analysing and reporting on financial data, supporting the overall financial management of the portfolio.

Your role extends to continually improving data capture, reporting, and communication.

Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you will act as the central contact for Planview enquiries and administration support requests.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the configuration and administration of the Planview system, including driving user training for increased adoption. Gather and process project data for the creation of clear and well-crafted documentation and reports. Establish, develop, and monitor Programme and Portfolio Management processes, particularly regarding milestone plans, risks and opportunities, assumptions, issues and dependencies, and Lessons Learned. Analyse complex PPM information to identify interdependencies and risks, escalating issues as needed, and proposing improvements for decision-making. Analyse and report on financial data to ensure accurate information for portfolio financial management. Develop an understanding of the project and Roadmap, driving initiatives for continual improvement in data capture, reporting, and wider communication. Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of PPM processes and support for programme teams. Act as the central contact for Planview enquiries and administration support requests.
