We are looking for an experienced individual who has worked in a Finance environment and who is AAT level 3 qualified or equivalent to join our exciting Finance team of 5.
We are passionate around development and training and for those that wish to progress further with AAT or equivalent we will be more than willing to fund these additional qualifications.
As a Finance Officer for the Clipper Quba group, you will play a key role in producing monthly management accounts for the Board of Directors, ensuring these are produced in a timely and accurate manner.
In addition to supporting the Financial Controller to ensure deadlines are met, financial procedures followed, and tasks are completed within the Finance function of the group.

Key Responsibilities:
- Record financial transactions to create monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and monthly journals.
- Review and analyse financial statements and reports, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct.
- Process payments to suppliers and authorise other users' payments.
- Oversee sales and purchase ledgers, making sure they are up to date and error free.
- Reconciliation of various intercompany nominal accounts.
- Bank account reconciliation for various currencies.
- Weekly reporting of relevant financial data to external financial intermediary.
- Create and process weekly margin for Quba agencies, ensuring any queries dealt with in a timely manner.
- Assist in creation of company budgets.
- Assist in preparation of Group VAT return each quarter.
- Prepare yearend data as required for the annual audit.
- Assist in controlling cash balances in line with payroll requirements across the Group.
- Answer queries and aid customers and clients as needed.
Key Skills and experience:
- Obtained Level 3 AAT qualification, equivalent or time served.
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
- Good oral and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Intermediate Excel Skills
- Previous experience in a finance / accounting role
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Knowledge/Experience using SAGE 200 Accounts software
