Grounds Maintenance Foreman required to join our expanding grounds maintenance team.This position involves overseeing a Grounds Maintenance Department of 15-20 operatives providing a high standard of grounds maintenance to Housing Associations, Business Parks, Schools, Care Homes, Private Grounds etc.
Position Duties
- Overseeing a department of GM and landscaping operatives
- Assisting the contract manager to ensure a safe and well performing team
- Undertaking toolbox talks
- Carrying out vehicle and machinery checks
- Site audits
- Training operatives and providing guidance on best practices
- Using a ride on mower
- Towing ride on equipment behind work vehicle
- Undertaking grounds maintenance duties on the tools
- Demonstrating a first in, last out mentality
- Ensuring health and safety at all times
- Gritting and Snow Clearance
- Using company provided device to complete assigned jobs via our CRM.
Position Responsibilities
- Use of machinery to carry out grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks in a safe manner
- Ensure all health and safety criteria is followed at all times and wear correct PPE that is provided
- Maintain team vehicle and equipment and ensure company is always presented professionally
- Maintain high levels of service for clients and deal with requests from customers in a professional manner
- Have good time management and an eye for detail
- PA1/PA6 Licence
- CSCS Card (Desirable, but not required)
- At least 5 years' experience within the grounds maintenance/landscaping industry
- At least 3 years' supervisory/foreman experience within the grounds maintenance/landscaping industry
- Hard working individual with good customer service skills
- Willingness to work overtime and weekend work
- The ability to upkeep high standards and be a team player
- Working well on their own initiative
- Punctual and very reliable
- Full UK Driving Licence
Additional notes:
- There is a chance that work may involve working with children and vulnerable adults
- Applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS background check

Salary:
£24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
