Purpose of the Job:
This position will play a vital role within the company's management team, supporting both the Accounts Manager and Directors.

Together you will be responsible for the creation and delivery of our Procurement process, managing supplier relationships and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services to support our daily operations.


Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage purchasing operations including authorising purchases, preparing purchase orders and recording accurate documentation.
  • Work closely with colleagues to compile and maintain a comprehensive list of current contractors and suppliers.
  • Implement the procurement strategy and ensure this meets the business objectives.
  • Identifying significant opportunities to reduce costs and operational risk.
  • Negotiate with and influence suppliers to achieve improved service and quality.
  • Lead procurement processes for new and expiring contracts.
  • Ensure effective stock control management.
  • Support staff in understanding and adhering to the procurement process within set budgetary controls.
  • Ensure commercially sensitive information is collected, processed and stored in a secure and confidential manner.
Key Personal attributes

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Qualification in business management is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of the Procurement lifecycle
  • Desire to gain procurement qualifications (CIPS).
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills.
  • Ability to learn and progress in a fastpaced environment.
  • Awareness of information governance, data protection and confidentiality issues.
  • Good communication and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.

Salary:
£25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
