Description

Leading client in the broadcasting space now requires a DevOps engineer to provide first class operational support on their largest customer facing platform ensuring an exceptional experience for all viewers.

This role will revolve around identifying issues, resolving incidents, and proactively improving the service's resilience.


The role:


  • Monitoring the performance and stability of their public facing digital services.
  • Upholding agreed service level objectives.
  • Identifying serviceimpacting incidents and swiftly resolving these incidents.
  • Working with SRE leadership to implement tools and services that improve the measurability of our client's service performance.
  • Provide engineering solutions to common problems, automating regular tasks wherever possible.
  • Establish close working partnerships with our clients development and service suppliers.
  • Owning the underlying infrastructure for our clients service, managing and maintaining configuration 'as code' (primarily through Terraform).

About you:


  • Broad technical expertise with a background in operations of software development/DevOps.
  • Experience of cloudbased infrastructure, design and best practices (AWS preferred).
  • Linux system administration experience in a public facing web/online environment.
  • A solid understanding of technologies including Docker, ECS, Java, Nginx, CDNs, DynamoDB, CIAM, Redshift, WAF, Jenkins, Terraform, Log aggregation, APM.
  • A good understanding of microservice architectures. (Java based microservices and frameworks is desirable
  • Springboot)
  • Proficient scripting languages.

This role provides a base salary of up to £60,000 plus excellent benefits package.

In terms of office location, this role is based in Leeds with 1-2 days per week in office and the rest remote.
