Denfind Stone are the sole supplier of Angus Sandstone walling and paving from our privately owned quarry and production facility in Monikie, Angus.

We are focused on growth through increasing our market share in our recognised products and also developing innovative new product markets.

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious General Foreman to organize and oversee our dimensional stone production facility, who will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output.

Responsibilities

Creating and maintaining positive working relationships with operators
Ensuring that safe housekeeping and work practices are followed at all times
Responsible for allocating labour resources
Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
Monitor production to resolve issues
Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel
Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
Ensure output meets quality standards
Enforce health and safety precautions
Liaise with others to formulate objectives and understand requirements

Requirements and skills

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others
Selfmotivated, with initiative and a proactive approach
Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relations with others
Detail and results orientated with strong personal values to succeed
Highly organised with demonstrable planning and delivery capabilities
Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
Experience in reporting on key production metrics
Excellent organisational skills
Attention to detail
Strong decisionmaking skills and a resultsdriven approach
