Vacancy description

  • To conduct a full and comprehensive reception service to all clients, contractors, and staff at CMC Markets.
  • To ensure that all clients, contractors, and staff are dealt with in a polite and professional manner.
  • To greet visitors and alert staff when their visitors have arrived and to supply visitors with refreshments as they wait.
  • To receive, sort and distribute daily post/deliveries and ensure that all reception duties (post, stationary, point of sale literature) are conducted in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To order stationary and keep inventory of stock.
  • To ensure that all calls to CMC Markets are answered politely, professionally within the agreed service level agreements.
  • To ensure that message taking, and distribution process is followed, and all messages are distributed within the agreed service level agreements.
  • To assist in the booking of internal meeting rooms.
  • To ensure that any customer facing area (reception, training, and meetings rooms) are kept to the stated corporate standards.
  • To maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
  • To support the Office Manager and Facilities Team in coordinating internal and external events
  • To maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, including all relevant regulatory and legislative training.
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality.
  • Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
  • General administrative tasks as required.

  • To actively identify and report any health and safety hazards to the Office Manager

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Experience in corporate reception.
  • Experience with reception telephone systems and excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extremely well presented.
  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with all levels of staff, up to and including board members.
  • Proficient in relevant software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook etc)
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Postroom experience.

Desired qualifications
