We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Finance Officer to join our Executive Team.

This is a newly created role, following some changes in our Executive Team and we are looking for someone strategic and passionate about delivering improvements and partnering the business.


You will have experience of providing advice to secure effective delivery and value for money, leading a high performing team, thinking strategically, and communicating complex financial issues into layman's terms.

About You

Reporting to the Chief Executive, The Chief Finance Officer will provide leadership to the Finance, Commercial and Business Support Directorate, across the organisation and to our stakeholders including Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC), Government Property Agency (GPA), National Audit Office (NAO) and Government Internal Audit agency (GIAA).

You will provide deep insight and expertise to support our leaders to make informed decisions and achieve the organisation's objectives.

The Chief Finance Officer will embed improvements in business partnering, financial forecasting/modelling, contract management and risk management/internal controls.

The Chief Finance Officer will also develop robust approaches to operational delivery including monitoring and driving reductions in unit costs, working in partnership with other members of the Executive Team.

The Chief Finance Officer will ensure changes are customer focused and that they become embedded across the organisation so that they have a real impact on the way that we work.
