Description

My client operate in the professional services industry and due to controlled growth are looking to add an experience Accounts Receivable / Payable Officer to their small and friendly team.

Reporting to the Supervisor you will assist in setting the objectives for the accounts team that align with the accounting department's goals and the generation of financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.

Experience of working in the Insurance sector is advantageous but not essential.

This position offers an excellent benefits package to include company car / car allowance.

Responsibilities:

Assure timely collection of monies
Assure timely and accurate invoicing
Post customer payments by recording payment transactions
Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions
Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices
Negotiate with clients in nonpayment cases
Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and adhoc forecasting reports
Organise records of invoices, bills and depositsPerform highquality invoicing and collection procedures that comply with legislation and best practice
Investigate account discrepancies
