Position - Hydrogeologist

Location Shrewsbury

FULL TIME

My client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, are searching for an ambitious
Hydrogeologist who has strong technical knowledge and a keen interest in working with a bespoke team in Shrewsbury.

Applicants are required to have the following experience;

Experience working as a hydrogeologist for a UK based Consultancy or a Local Authority,
Geoscience, hydrogeology or similar degree or post graduate qualification.
A good understanding of environmental consultancy.
You will need to have had experience writing and reviewing flood risk assessments, hydrogeological risk assessments and ground water monitoring.
Enthusiastic and willing to learn and want to work towards a professional accreditation.
Contaminated Land Assessments.

Responsibilities And Duties

Your main responsibilities will include ground water, environmental and flood risk assessment whilst assisting junior consultants.
Team management and mentoring.
Client meetings to manage Client accounts and database, securing work and having the responsibility to deliver these.
Technical oversight and reviewing of proposals and bids.
Help to drive the development of new products and services and arrange and undertake travel for site walkovers.
Prepare and review ground water assessments.
Flood risk assessments.
Review contaminated water reports and liaise external consultants with regulatory bodies.
