Team Leader - PPE Certification

Kettering

Hours - Full Time 37.5 hrs

Salary - £28,726 - £29,886 per annum DOE


Our client, based in Kettering is recruiting a Team Leader on a permanent basis to work in their PPE Certification Department.

This is an office-based role with flexible working hours.


This is a newly formed position which will involve the leadership and development of a recently expanded team, that is responsible for the delivery of annual product conformity assessment services, offered by the company.


The diverse range of products require annual conformity assessment, which could be calling-in, testing and evaluation of products on an annual basis, or arranging an annual audit of manufacturing facilities.

In both instances, the service is required tobe delivered to tight deadlines and upon completion, a certificate shall be issued with a validity of 12-months.


As the Team Leader of the services team, you will be expected to drive the improvement of existing procedures and outputs, leading, and inspiring the team to deliver 1st class customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the team to deliver a fully compliant and efficient service.
  • Ensure that all customer enquiries are responded to professionally and within agreed timeframes.
  • Measure, evaluate and improve team performance against financial, quality and delivery related targets.
  • Regularly report on team performance as required by line management.
  • Participate in relevant people management processes including recruitment and appraisals.
  • Develop team members, implementing and maintaining training and development plans where required.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, developing current and future procedure and practices to achieve a highly efficient and profitable service
  • Understand and interpret PPE performance standards.
  • Assesses and approve externally supplied and internal technical documentation as required.
  • Preparation of technical reports and draft certificates as required.
  • Work closely with clients and customers to communicate process requirements and work progress updates.
  • Work closely with the internal testing and Chinabased certification team members to build rapport and improve cross departmental relationships.
About You

  • Demonstrable leadership skills.
  • Experience in the testing and/or CE certification of PPE products
  • Able to form internal and external relationships quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with a logical and methodical approach to working,problem solving and decision making.
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Able to work on own initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Highly selfmotivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to adapt to change.
  • Excellent organisation, planning, time management and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint).
  • A willingness to learn new skills.
