About the opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior PR Coordinator to join our growing Everton in the Community team.


As Senior PR Coordinator for the charity, your role will primarily involve raising awareness of Everton in the Community and the work it undertakes across Liverpool City Region through external media.


Other key responsibilities will include:
To support the Head of Communications in the delivery of the communications strategy for Everton in the Community and drive positive media coverage through the creation of materials, press releases and media opportunities which effectively tell the story of the charity. To seek out PR opportunities to promote the ground-breaking work of the charity and its CEO and Directors across a diverse range of media outlets. To support the income generation strategy for Everton in the Community by creating media opportunities to promote the various ways in which stakeholders can support the charity. To work closely with the Senior Content and Digital Manager to create emotive and compelling human interest case studies for external media telling the story of those who have been supported by Everton in the Community.- Safeguarding_- To understand the Club's Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines. To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to an Anti-bullying environment

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an individual who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with contacts at all levels.


Other key Knowledge and Skills will include:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in a PR or Communications-related discipline-
  • Ability to prioritise workload-
  • An ability to adapt quickly, be flexible in the face of change and solution orientated-
  • Knowledge of public relations planning, theory and activities-
  • Understanding of the media landscape-
  • Experience of developing databases and information management systems-
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is attention to detail, an ability to stay calm under pressure and an understanding of the charity sector.
This role is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week.

The primary location for this role will be Everton in the Community Campus, Liverpool, L4
