Bookkeeper - Farnham

Key responsibilities:

Managing day to day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients as well as reconciliations of the main control accounts, including month end reviews
Reviewing client entries and advising of corrections or efficiency improvements
Preparing and filing VAT returns for various VAT schemes
Communicating directly with HMRC when necessary, undertaking general administration tasks
Providing training to clients on various packages and bookkeeping skills as required

Skills and experience:

Minimum 23 years post qualified experience preferably within an accountancy practice
AAT qualified
Extensive working use of Xero software (preferably Xero certified)
Ability to work both independently, direct liaison with clients, as well as part of a team in both a supporting and supervising capacity
Positive team player with a "can do" attitude
Accurate data entry skills with excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
Analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with CCH would be advantageous
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Passionate about great service in order to provide a high level of client care
