Purpose of the role


The role will work alongside the Aspire Education, Training and Employment team to deliver an inclusive recruitment service with a focus on recruitment as well as to support and advise the organisation on trends and needs of local employers in relation to the needs of our diverse client groups.

You will work closely with our employment team and colleagues to identify employment opportunities, including managing the database of engaged employers.


You will also provide dedicated employment, training and education support to a caseload of refugee and asylum seeker clients addressing barriers with an understanding of their unique issues and complexities.

Key tasks are intended to be a guide to the range and level of work expected of the job holder.

This is not an exhaustive list of all tasks and employees will be expected to carry out such other reasonable duties which may be required from time to time.


  • To support refugees and asylum seekers to address barriers to employment with an understanding of their unique issues and complexities
  • To work closely with the ETE team to promote Inclusive Recruitment with local employers
  • To manage relationships with local employers and employer partnerships
  • To manage internal employer records and database information
  • To provide employment opportunities for Aspire clients across all projects, collating data and identifying changing demands
  • Demonstrate skill in establishing rapport with colleagues across the organisation to assist in advancing clients into employment
  • Demonstrate proficiency in advising and guiding clients toward employment, addressing their support needs within the workplace and meeting employer requirements.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite, video conferencing software (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom), and internet browsers.
  • Support the ETE Project Manager in data collection and reporting.
  • Represent the organisation externally including attending relevant events, networks, committees, working groups, and other bodies as requested by the Manager.

Essential

  • Proven success in recruitment and management of employer client accounts.
  • Evidence of supporting refugees and asylum seekers to address barriers to employment with an understanding of their unique issues and complexities
  • Exceptional administrative and organisational abilities, consistently upholding a high level of service within the team.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of colleagues
  • Ability to prioritise and deliver on a changing workload, sometimes with short deadlines

Desirable

  • Equality, diversity and inclusion in a professional or voluntary capacity (developing and/or implementing strategies and initiatives, influencing stakeholders, identifying opportunities for organisational improvement, providing advice and guidance)
  • Knowledge of employment support for people making a transition from the benefits system, and experience of supporting people with benefits related issues
  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings and weekends (time off in lieu will be given)

Pay:
£24,518.00-£28,246.00 per year
