Do you like working outdoors? Are you currently working in the construction industry as an Operative looking to gain leadership experience? If so, we have a great opportunity to join our Sewer Renovations team as a Construction Team Leader.

You will work across the Taunton, Bridgwater and surrounding areas with the main depot being based in West Huntspill.

In addition to your salary, you will benefit from a monthly bonus on the completion of your probationary period and access to a company vehicle.


The role


Our Sewerage Renovations teams provide a vital service, helping to ensure we supply water and provide sewerage services to our 2.8 million customers.

As one of our Construction Team Leaders, you will work in a team carrying out repairs on sewer assets to make sure they meet quality and customer service standards.

Day to day you will work on the waste network undertaking repairs on sewer pipes, rising mains, manhole chambers and carrying out civil reinstatements.

Our work is carried out at a variety of locations including customers' properties and gardens, highways and farmers' fields to suggest a few.

You will be a part of a great team where you will coach, mentor and guide the Operatives within your team and larger teams on a day-to-day basis.

You will be working outdoors dealing with different challenges every day and providing a vital service to our customers.

What do I need?


To be a great fit for this role, we're looking for someone with a positive can-do attitude who has a great work ethic and is dedicated to doing a good job.

You will be well organised and customer focused, as well as a great team player.

Previous experience working in the construction industry would be ideal for this position. Alongside this, you'll have experience operating all plant machinery such as an excavator or dumper.

It is essential to hold a valid UK driving licence and have proven towing experience.
