Fundraising Officer

Location:
Hybrid Homeworking / Central Trust Office, Haverhill (travel to other locations required)


Start date:
September 2024


Salary:
£50k per annum pro rata (Local Government Pension Scheme, holiday entitlement for full time staff starts at 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, part time staff receive a pro rata equivalent to their working hours / weeks per year)


Contract type:
Part time, 14 hours per week, 44 weeks per year


Contract term:

Fixed term for one year in the first instance*- Contract extension is on the basis of your success in securing grants and the role becoming self-funding.


We are seeking an experienced fund raiser to join our central services team to facilitate and support the Trust in all activities relating to the procuring and management of funds for the purpose of funding Trust wide and school projects.

You will work with the trust's Executive Team and other Trust staff to take a lead role in developing and implementing the Trust's fundraising strategy.

You will have the skills and experience to develop extensive networks internally and externally including fostering strong relationships with the corporate sector locally and nationally to support student development and activities.

You will have a busy and varied workload, so if you are a well organised person who thrives on a busy working environment where no two days are the same, we would love to hear from you.


  • Experienced of working in a schoolbased environment
  • Customercentric in your approach to work.
  • Excellent communicators who work in a confidential and discreet manner and are able to think on their feet in a busy working environment.
  • Experienced in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Adaptable and friendly with strong administration, time management and organisational skills.
  • Able to multitask, work hard and maintain high level of attention to detail when under pressure.
  • Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as comfortable working independently. Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional/alternative hours to cover any urgent issues that may arise.
