The Bereavement Care team at University Hospital Southampton is dedicated to offering compassionate and personalised support to our patients and their families.

We are seeking a part-time Bereavement and Family Support Specialist to join our team and help us continue delivering exceptional care.

This service delivers responsive support to those who are facing loss or have experienced a bereavement at UHS.

  • The role is a holistic emotional support role, working across all care divisions, to deliver support to family members and patients who are nearing or have reached end of life.
  • The post holder will deliver emotional support and signposting to further sources of support for patients, family members and carers who are experiencing emotionally upsetting, challenging, and traumatic experiences related to care and treatment, or end of life and death.
