PHP Developer

Sheffield (Hybrid Working)

£30K - £35K
Page 1 Recruitment are excited to be working with an exciting Software House in Sheffield. As a business, our client develops custom Web Systems as well as Mobile Apps. Due to new client acquisitions, our client is currently on the lookout for a PHP Developerto join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established Dev team that is delivering some exceptional projects.


As part of the role, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating new features for their modern PHP Systems
  • Modernising existing codebases in both modern and legacy PHP frameworks
  • Developing bespoke web systems and mobile apps
  • Writing efficient, secure and reusable code
  • Working collaboratively with other members of the team
  • Contributing to all aspects of the development lifecycle

Key Skills:

Strong PHP Fundamentals, Laravel, Exposure to JavaScript frameworks (vue, angular, react, next), SQL, SASS, CSS3, HTML5, Composer


Bonus points for:


  • Docker
- jQuerry

  • Workflow automation (such as webpack, vite or gulp)
  • Exposure to test driven development
  • Knowledge of LAMP environments
