Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Customer & Trade Supervisor. The company is a well established Worldwide Freight Forwarder based in the Richmond area.

The position with responsibility for increasing the shipment volumes and operational financial performance of the London, UK Branch.


The Big Picture:

  • Contribute to the daily activity of a successful, and profitable Customer & Trade Team
  • Steer and drive the team to excellent standards and results as instructed by the Commercial Manager
  • Ensure the team are constantly pushing for improvements in communication, quotation response time, and team growth through excellent leadership
  • Manage and complete quotations both internally & externally on a daily basis, as directed by the Customer & Trade Manager, and in accordance with monthly / annual targets for all modes Air / Sea / Road
  • Actively develop existing and new business with support from the business development teams and operational leads
  • Research potential new customers through various channels, and provide leads to Inside Sales/BDM, with support and direction from Customer & Trade Manager
  • Assist with establishing new suppliers and arranging supplier meetings
  • Arrange virtual meetings with your customers, and ensure customer volume & GP development
  • Demonstrate business growth through successfully sourcing & converting opportunities
  • Contribute to a dynamic and competitive team culture within the department
