We are Currently looking for Children Support Workers to join our clients teams on a ongoing basis.
We are looking for staff in the following areas:
Widnes, St Helens, Ormskirk
Job Role:
- To Deliver high standards of care/support to Children/young people on an individual basis consistent with the aims and objectives of the home and individual needs
- To undertake flexible working arrangements in accordance with the children/young person's needs and homes requirements which includes, weekends, evenings, waking nights and sleepin duties.
- To give practical and emotional support to children/young people.
- At all times demonstrate respect for children/young people and recognise their value as individuals including their right to privacy and to be treated with dignity.
- To ensure that children/young peoples rights are respected at all times.
- To make decisions that are in the best interests of the children, young people and the organisation at all times.
- To be alert to signs of distress, neglect or abuse, ensuring that the young people are monitored and protected.
- To ensure that children/young people are safeguarded from physical, verbal, financial or material, psychological or sexual abuse, neglect, discriminatory abuse or selfharm, inhuman or degrading treatment, through deliberate intent, negligence or ignorance, in accordance with policies.
- To enable and support children/young people to make use of facilities available to the general public and to access appropriate therapeutic activities in the local community
Requirements:
- DBS or willing to undertake one through the agency
- MAPA Corticate or willing to partake in a unpaid two day course
- Online Training Certificates or willing to complete courses via agency
- Experience looking after children with complex needs is desirable but not essential as we can give you all the training.
Job Types:
Temporary contract, Zero hours contract
Salary:
£11.00-£12.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Liverpool, Merseyside: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
Residential Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
