My client, a well-established regional firm are looking to recruit a Clinical Negligence Paralegal to join their Clinical Negligence team in Northampton.

The team's is highly regarded for its expertise in Clinical Negligence, representing a range of matters.

You will be working with well-respected Partner giving you the perfect opportunity to gain valuable experience along with the training and support as required.

Responsibilities:

Assisting with typing
Being involved in team meetings
Medical research
Opening new files
Obtaining medical records and radiology on all new matters
Dealing with the preliminary steps in terms of organising suitable funding for each matter
Securing insurance
Approaching medical experts
Diary management
Organising payment of disbursements

Experience needed:

1 year's previous experience in the handling of claims within an insurance or medical organisation
Assisting lawyers in negotiating and settling claims fairly and promptly
Building relationships and gaining confidence when handling claims
Working unsupervised and able to show initiative
