Job Description:

We are looking for a Managing Consultant to join our Global Chemicals team.

Wood Mackenzie Chemicals provides integrated commercial and strategic subscription research and consultancy services for the chemicals, fibres, films, and plastics sectors.

We provide insight combined with proprietary data, helping companies identify trends and take advantage of opportunities. Together, we inspire and innovate the markets we serve. The Chemicals team is expanding rapidly and is a key vector of growth for Wood Mackenzie.


About the Role


As part of the Chemicals consulting team, you will be responsible for supporting the team in managing, executing, and delivering high-quality deliverables to our clients.


About You and How You Can Excel in This Role

  • Analysis: design appropriate analytical techniques (WM tools, primary and secondary research), validate, analyze, and critically assess sources of information to generate meaningful analysis, options, and concepts to help answer the client's question
  • Analysis and deliverables creation: develop wellstructured, logical, highquality work products (in excel, PowerPoint, and word) following a conclusionsled approach
  • Analysis: take responsibility for workstream/work undertaken and act as PM in some circumstances, ensuring PD is briefed as to risks / alternative solutions. Draw insight out of analysis for the client ensuring the "so what" is drawn out
  • Business Development: support the BD activity led by senior members of the team as required, contribute towards / prepare proposals, work to build onsell opportunities through professional delivery of projects, and has an understanding of serving clients in the chemicals industry.
  • Coach more junior team members as appropriate, ensuring best practice concerning process, structure, and use of products is understood throughout the RCG (Regional Consulting Group)
  • Industry knowledge: Continue to develop knowledge, develop expertise either focusing on 2 sectors or remain open to the full Wood Mackenzie value chain. Understands the best use of Wood Mac products in focus sectors (if appropriate) and their limitations to develop an optimum project approach
  • Communication: develop networks both internally and externally, maintaining and furthering the Wood Mac organization

Qualifications:

Degree in Chemical Engineering with at least 6 years of relevant industry experience
