The Role


You will be play a key role in coordinating the successful delivery of key high-profile projects within the Airspace Modernisation Delivery Team, and will work closely with the Airspace Classification and Future Systems Team Principals to bring project management discipline to ensure that their respective workstreams are delivered.

You will provide effective planning, project governance, risk, issue and dependency management, whilst working within the organisation's standard governance and processes.

This is a hands-on position which will rely on you having excellent communication skills to enable effective and regular engagement with key stakeholders.


About You
Experienced in managing business projects throughout the whole life cycle. Ideally, working in a regulatory or policy development setting.


Essential:


  • Exceptional planner and ability to create and manage project plans
  • Experienced and capable in managing relationships with stakeholders up to Senior Manager level both internally and externally
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels
  • Comfortable within a team enviroment, collaborating, positively and constructively.
  • Focused on the delivery of objectives, outcomes and results
  • Confident to deliver rationales for key decisions, and able to challenge and influence across a broad level of stakeholders.
  • Effective decision maker and able to focus and deliver solutions.
  • Confident to work within tight timelines, and varied deliverables.

Desirable:


  • Experienced in change programmes and project portfolio environments
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Aviation and Aerospace Industry, along with the role and operating environment of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA )
  • Understanding or an awareness of procurement.
  • Formal Project Management qualifications such as Prince 2, APM or Agile
