AJ Connect are representing a Glasgow-based company that provides environmental design consultancy services.
Who are looking for an accounts and administration assistant to join their team and assist with everyday operations in their office in the city centre.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform routine administrative tasks such as answering phones, greeting visitors, and distributing mail.
- Manage diaries and arrange meetings for colleagues as required.
- Create bid documents and assist with the preparation of tender responses.
- Process purchase invoices and employee expenses in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure effective credit control is maintained for the business.
- Maintain accurate banking and petty cash records.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar administrative role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft packages, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong organisation and timemanagement skills.
- Pleasant telephone manner and experience dealing with telephone enquiries.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping would be advantageous to support the accounts team.
- Experience with SAGE systems would be helpful, although training will be provided.
- Knowledge of Adobe InDesign would be helpful, although training will be provided.
