Description

Our partner is an international peacebuilding organisation, inspired by the Christian faith, that works in societies affected by violent conflict to promote the power of peaceful relationships.

They are seeking a Trustee with experience in a senior finance role who is able to develop the organisations financial management and support a move towards cloud-based accounting.

Having a background as a qualified accountant would be especially beneficial, as would charity sector experience, preferably in international development.

They are particularly interested in hearing from practicing Christians.

The post-holder will have an ability to effectively chair committee meetings and coordinate with and support the finance team.

As well as chairing the Finance Sub-Committee, you will support the Board by providing expertise in matters related to financial management and governance and ensure there are suitable finance policies to provide appropriate financial control within the charity.

The Board meets 4 times per year alternating between online and in-person, and have a monthly, hour-long board teleconference. There is usually some required reading ahead of each meeting. The Finance Committee meets an additional 4-5 times per year, usually online for about an hour.
