Finance Assistant

We are very pleased to be working with a Liverpool based lender on their search for a finance assistant, to join their growing team.

This is a hybrid position.


You would be working in a small finance team, compiling financial and non-financial records, ensuring they are accurate and up to date.

You would manage third-party payments as well.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure financial processes are effectively administrated.
  • Reconciliation of payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software.
  • Creating and performing supplier payment runs.
  • Monitor, reconcile and reporting on employee expenses.
  • Reconciling accounting data to ensure accuracy.
  • Reconciling of stakeholder payments and statements.
  • Preparation and submission of compliance requirements.
  • Using accounting software.
  • Updating and reconciling financial ledgers.
  • Assisting the Finance Director with preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts for the company.
  • Verifying company expenses, bank deposits and bank payments.
  • Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Finance Director/Heads of Department.

Skills/ Experience:


  • Previous experiences in a similar role.
  • Strong experience of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent people and relationship building skills.
  • Detailorientated and with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, driven, relentless and a proven closer.
  • Passionate approach to customer experience.
  • An eye for building new processes and challenging the status quo.
  • Love to solve problems and be challenged.
  • To be a constant learner.
