About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Support Clerk to join our growing Engineering business.

This is a great opportunity for you to be a part of a well-established and well organised engineering team for a Creative Manufacturer of Theme Park Ride Systems.

Driving Licence - desirable

Passport - desirable


General Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Setting up of new jobs on the inhouse database, creating and archiving job files, as required
  • Maintaining the CRM system
  • Obtaining supplier quotations, organising shipments worldwide
  • Procurement, including drafting up Purchase Orders and checking against requirements
  • Allocating costings correctly to projects
  • Chasing up material certification and recording as per the ISO 9001 and BS EN 1090 management systems
  • Checking and booking goods inward
  • Assisting the Sales Director and Managing Director with quotations and correspondence, as required
  • Organising training courses and maintaining training records
  • Maintaining vehicle management records
  • Engineer timesheet input to relevant projects
  • Making employee travel arrangements
  • Check and process supplier invoices
  • Check supplier statements
  • Answering phone calls, taking messages and connecting calls to proper departments
  • Other adhoc duties, as required
Experience preferred for above duties, however training will be provided in all areas.


Person Specification:


  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, or similar
  • Ability to follow procedures and company guidelines to high standards
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to review and correct issues in documentation
  • Excellent proofreading skills
  • Capability to communicate to all levels of hierarchy with employees, suppliers and customers
  • High levels of accuracy
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Adherence to deadlines, with methodical approach
  • Flexible working manner to adapt to deadlines, new challenges and other colleagues
  • Ability to accept responsibility and accountability
  • Committed to achieving project and company goals
  • Able to work well as part of a diverse team

Essential Skills & Experience:


  • Strong written communication skills
  • Selfdisciplined approach to daytoday operations
  • Experience within an ISO 9001 accredited organisation

Qualifications:


  • Experience: Business Administration
  • 2 year (preferred)
