**LEGAL CONTRACTS MANAGER
BRIDGEND, WALES
PERMANENT ROLE**
£60,000 + DISCRETIONARY BONUS + BENEFITS

Role Overview:


Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment are currently representing a software driven electric vehicle charge point infrastructure company in their search for a Legal Contracts Manager to join their team based in Bridgend.

This is a new role to review, assessand draft a wide range of formal commercial contracts and oversee their management throughout their contract life cycle, involving external legal counsel where appropriate.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in the creation of formal agreements and contracts, including but not limited to the Group Purchasing, Partnerships, Business Development, People and Property Teams
  • To create a central database of all formal agreements, to include a renewal timetable process
  • To provide guidance and insight into the preparation, creation and renewal of formal contracts and agreements, ensuring that external legal counsel are involved as appropriate to the complexity or importance of the agreement
  • Developing processes to manage key milestones within each contract, including renewals, terminations, key deliverables such as service performance. This will include working with our external legal providers to implement a system of online instructionsand to manage a contracts portal
  • Provide practical advice, guidance and support to internal stakeholders to ensure that the interests of the business are protected, compliant with applicable laws and commercial best practice
  • Keep track of instructions outsourced to our preferred external legal service providers, including timescales and budgets
  • To proactively increase the number of formal supply agreements throughout the company by reducing the number of informal contracts or contracts entered into on the supplier's terms
  • Developing regular reports on the status of all contracts
  • Ensure all legislative, regulatory, policy, processes and procedures are adhered to and appropriately evidenced
  • Working knowledge of UK contract law
  • Sound commercial acumen
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong collaborative communication skills
  • Ability to successfully conduct negotiations with suppliers and other such third parties
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to assess, communicate and manage risk
  • A University Degree
