  • You must be numerate, competent in using standard word processing & spreadsheet packages and be willing to learn to use inhouse computer systems. You will be required to undergo additional security checking for this role.

Act as an initial point of contact, communicating and filtering information for the Nuclear Regulation Group so advice and support is delivered accurately and timely.

Provide comprehensive administrative support to the line manager / team, ensuring efficient systems are in place to maximize the effective use of line manager's / team's time.

Research and compile information / briefing material to enable the line manager to give effective, clear and concise presentations.

Maintain and develop information storage and retrieval systems and ensure that information is up to date and readily accessible to facilitate departmental workflow.

Analyze data and produce management reports and recommendations based on the information processed, to assist others in making decisions.

Provide advice and guidance on a lead personal / technical skill, to support operational teams, deliver their objectives.

Participate in the development of teamwork plans and deliver any agreed actions effectively, to contribute to business planning and delivery.

Develop and maintain a strong customer focus to ensure effective relationships.

You will have an identified incident management role and your development for the role will be supported so you are ready to contribute to our response.


  • The team
  • Our Nuclear Regulation Group is responsible for regulating the disposal of radioactive waste at sites across England. Whether it is an operational power station, a site undergoing decommissioning & cleanup or a new build project, we work with nuclear operators and other stakeholders to ensure the highest levels of environmental protection are achieved.

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately to tight deadlines.
