Express Recruitment are working alongside one of the East Midlands logistic providers specialising in the moving and storing of raw materials and finished goods.

Due to fantastic growth, our client is seeking an HGV Technician to join their workshop team

Please note that this role is a 50-hour working week that requires Saturday shifts (paid at 1.5x) however you can choose the other 4 days in the week that you work

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for the scheduled maintenance duties of a wide range of HGV trucks
Carry out diagnosis and repairs to heavy goods vehicles
Ensure road tests are completed to company standards and carry out roadside repairs when necessary
Support the business with out of hour breakdown calls for fleet vehicles
Ensure that all HGV's are fully MOT prepared ahead of inspections

Skills & Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
Proven experience working in a heavy goods environment
HGV Driving Licence ideal but not essential
Full UK Driving Licence
Previous experience carrying out maintenance on HGV's or large goods vehicles
