Reed Accountancy are proud working with a large organisation in
Leeds who are recruiting for a
Payroll Team Leader. This
full-time role offers a
hybrid working environment and
flexibleworking.
They are looking for someone with a highly organised and flexible approach to problem solving with extensive payroll knowledge. The role is
35 hours per week with
flexible working hours between
8am - 4pm or **9am
- 5pm.**
Duties and responsibilities: - Assisting and advising in the setup of new procedures
- Work with the SAP/IT team on payroll development work and amendments
- Assist the tax/financial/periodic/pension year end reporting
- Balancing of Income Tax, NI Contributions and Statutory Payments
- Assisting in the production of payroll/fees/expenses ensuring that procedures for processing are properly documented by those responsible
- Responsible for the SAP legal change patches and amendments to existing programs
- Produce year end testing documentation and test scripts and manage those between SAP, HR, and Payroll
- General oversight of computer programmes and running of those programmes e.g P45's, Wage Type Statements for checking payroll calculation, absence reports etc
- Responsible for Payroll Department projects
You will need to demonstrate:
- Experience leading a team in Payroll
- High numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to analyse and solve problems and suggest improvements
- Strong IT skills (Excel and Word)
- Experience using SAP
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of statutory legislation related to Payroll, Expenses and Benefits
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll/expense and fees procedures
