Description

We are looking for individuals who have experience within the sheet metal industry.

This position is based in Birkenhead

Duties within the business could include:

Perform powder coating on various metal parts and components
Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure proper coating thickness and coverage
Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary touchups or repairs
Set, operate and maintain CNC Press Brake machines
Working with thin gauge materials typically between 0.9mm to 3.0m mild, stainless steel and aluminum, from engineering drawings
Ability to read engineering drawings
Grind, file, sand, deburr or polish parts
Perform assigned duties using manual, pneumatic and electric hand tools and machines.
Manipulate work piece or tool manually.
Develop and/or recommend techniques and parameters for blending/polishing.
Inspect and measure work piece to verify conformance to specifications.
Move machine control and guides to adjust machine.
Replace worn machine accessories such as wheels and polish belts.
Perform component cleaning operations.
Perform machine maintenance as required.
Deburr, buff, blend, clean, grind, and polish components/parts in accordance with company quality and production standards
Previous powder coating experience or paint spraying of metals
Previous CNC Press Brake machine experience
Previous experience Metal Polishing/Finishing
Experience in welding, assembling, or fabricating metal parts is preferred
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material requirements
Knowledge of mechanical principles and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures
