Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Crawley, West Sussex

4 on 4 off days (07:00 - 19:00)

We are looking for a motivated Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well known manufacturer.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running.

You will be involved in all aspectsof planned and reactive maintenance within their operation.

With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers.

Role Description:

Undertaking and management of schedules tasks as outlined within the Planned Preventative maintenance schedule (PPM). Use of the Plan4 and Piranah systems
The emergency repair of items in the event of breakdowns and safety issues, reported by engineering in daily checks, internal audits by management or any other employee requests relating to the safe manufacture, transport and storage of our products
Complying with all trained procedures and methods
Ordering of spares and repair equipment with permissions of your line manager, and in line with internal systems
Organise relevant training training for the engineering team as the company demands require
Weekly meetings with Snr management, and as a member of the HACCP team attendance to all related monthly and annual meetings
Communication with customer and BRCG auditors as required
Compliance with all BRCG requirements
Management of the PPM systems (plan4 and Pirannah)
Organisation and management and selection of all relevant sub contractors and service providers in the maintenance and repair of equipment
Maintenance and management of all sub contractor supply or service agreements (eg Star, Socotec etc)

Skills and Qualifications

A good understanding of English for safety and communication purposes
An understanding of the equipment on which you will be working on
The ability to promote safety standards within a working environment
Use of available tools and equipment for the safe maintenance and repair of our equipment
Word, excel, and outlook as a minimum. Pirannah, Plan4 and CAD as an internally trained advancement

Electrical (pumps, Motors, Augers), Hydraulic, Metal detection, Air compressor systems, Hydraulic, Water Intake, Basic plumbing, Electrical Engineering, Lighting
