Description
Our client is a well established manufacturer of quality UPVC glazing solutions.

They have an opportunity for a buyer/supply chain planner to join their team.


Duties will involve:


  • Use the existing systems to accurately order the required volume of products using sales and forecasting system.
  • Actively develop and maintain a professional and honest relationship with all suppliers Respond promptly to all invoicing queries, liaising with team members as required.
  • Handle seasonal demand, and promotional activity and investigate short lead times to prevent future incidents.
  • Monitor wastage.
  • Manage stock volumes
  • Manage production schedules
  • Liaise with another member of the company as necessary in respect of forecasting, timescales and financial queries.
  • Purchase to ensure cost savings and reschedule purchases to meet changing demand.

Your skills set:

  • Ability to function in a highly organised manner
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Possesses good communication skills.
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills to analyze, interpret and manage data trends
  • Experience with capacity/forecasting modeling and planning.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Awareness of customer service, purchasing, manufacturing, finance, production planning, supply chain and stock management in high volume environment is preferable

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Great Braxted: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
