We are recruiting a caretaker to be based at Winsford Library and to support libraries in the Winsford, Northwich and surrounding areas.
You will be part of an inspiring Libraries Team, contributing to the delivery of an innovative community-driven library service.
You will be proactive in identifying and resolving maintenance issues that will ensure that our buildings are welcoming and safe for our customers and staff.
You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to develop positive working relationships and be able to work calmly to deal with varied situations in a pragmatic and supportive manner.
Responsibilities include routine maintenance of buildings, equipment and decoration, completing building and safety audits, cleaning and tidying of buildings and public toilets, liaising with external contractors, moving equipment and furniture, opening and closing buildings, working outside normal working hours on occasion.
Cheshire West and Chester Council have adopted a Local Living Wage for our employees which means that all employees will receive a minimum of £10.90 per hour for all contracted hours.
