Description
This is a key role within our ReedHycalog Quality team, working closely with the Purchasing teams and key suppliers.

You will have the opportunity to take control of all activities relating to off-site inspection activities of products and relevant documentation reviews.

As an inspector/specialist you will assist in updating the supplier records on the global database to ensure all qualification requirements have been met.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaise with Purchasing and UK vendors to arrange and perform onsite visits/product audits and inspections as necessary.
  • Ensure all manufactured product meets drawing and specification requirements.
  • Control and ensuring the accuracy of all project documentation related to manufactured products.
  • Completion of various inspection and quality reports as required.
  • Ensuring the traceability of all parts required and documentation trails are in place.
  • Recommend adjustments to the process.
  • Assist in maintaining an effective NOV RH quality management system.
  • Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager

Qualifications:

  • HNC Engineering Subject or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline preferred with business exposure or equivalent work experience (Desirable)

Experience:


  • Working knowledge of carrying out measurements with mechanical, optical or electronic measuring equipment.
  • Working knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry including disciplines and their duties and responsibilities (Desirable)
Skills, training or special knowledge

  • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings
  • Documentation; verifying that all is present and is correct in the project files related to the product.
  • Full driving licence essential as travel and overnight stays in the UK are required.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards API 16C standard, ISO, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, NACE, NORSOK, PED. (Desirable)
