About The Role


We are currently recruiting for
full time Support Workers to work with a male client who has
Cerebral Palsy and is
Quadriplegic.

He is living in his parents' home in the Worcester area. This young man has a
PEG feed in place and requires 2:1 care. Bowel and Bladder care is required.
A driver is preferred as is a
good level of English communication.
There is a cat in the household.

The home is a completely none-smoking environment.

Support Worker Duties:

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit for a
New Care Team. You will work on a rota basis, including weekdays and weekends to cover day shifts. One weekend per month waking night/sleep shifts will be required.


You will be supporting this young man to maintain his independence and you must be flexible, reliable, intuitive, trustworthy and mindful.


The shift times are as follows:

  • Day shift
  • Monday-Friday: 7.30am to 10.00pm
  • Day shift
- Saturday & Sunday: 8.00am to 11.00pm

  • Rota shifts include week days and weekends, but not every weekend._

One weekend per month requires waking night shifts and sleepover shifts: -

  • Waking night shift Friday: 10.00pm to 8.00am
  • Sleep shift Friday: 10.00pm to 8.00am
  • Waking night shift Saturday: 11.00pm to 8.00am
  • Sleep shift Saturday: 11.00pm to 8.00am
  • Waking night shift Sunday: 11.00pm to 7.30am
  • Sleep shift Sunday: 11.00pm to 7.30am

Rates of Pay:
Up to
£18.50 per hour upon successful completion of competencies and training.

An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check
will be required
.

About You


You will be approachable, reliable, and dependable and you will work well as part of a team, but also able to use your own initiative.

You will have an outgoing personality and you will be respectful of this young man's needs. You will have good communication skills in English.

Experience and ability to understand and deal with complex needs is desirable but not essential, including bowel and bladder care.

Please note that there is a cat in the household.

A driver would be preferred as this young man has a vehicle, which you would be required to drive and being registered on the DBS update service would be beneficial.
