One To One Learning Support Assistant

Contract type:
Specific purpose;


Working pattern:
Monday to Friday, 8.30am pm, 20 hours per week, Term time only (38 weeks);

Salary information:
Scale 2, £11,215 - £11,400 per annum

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work one to one with a pupil in Key Stage 2 who requires support.


  • Clarifying instructions to enable immediate engagement with task.
  • Help the child remain on task throughout lessons.
  • Prepare appropriate resources to support the child.
  • Be prepared and aware of requirements in advance of the lesson.
  • To deliver 1:1 learning and pastoral support under the direction of the Assistant Head and SENCO.
  • To give feedback on child's progress as appropriate.


Experience in working and supporting pupils as well as a NVQ level 2 in Teaching and Learning are essential for this role.

You must also be patient, a good communicator and have a genuine interest in working with children.


Induction, support and on-going training will be provided to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils as well as your success at our school.
