Principal Contracts Solicitor Ref: 547LG Salary Range £53,997 - £61,724 (pro-rata) for 36 hrs per week dependent on experience About the Principal Contracts Solicitor role: Principal Contracts Solicitor As a Principal Contracts Solicitor will be expectedto take on a variety of matters, both routine and complex, and:- Be the lead legal officer across the Council on all contract and procurement matters;
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, conduct a full range of work types in this area and advise oncontract disputes.
- Support corporate projects working in multidisciplinary teams and advise on governance issues
- Advise senior officers and councillors and act as legal advisor to Committees
- Supervise the Senior Contracts Solicitor About you
- Holda Solicitor, Barrister, FILEX or similar qualification
- Have experience of contract and procurement work, preferably in a local government context
- Excellent knowledge of the law and practice of contract and procurement law
- Experience of managing a wideand varied forms of contract and procurement matters with mínimal supervision
- Demonstrate commercial acumen, drive, enthusiasm and exceptional communication skills.
- For the Principal Contracts Solicitor role:
- Experience of leading a Team or directlysupervising other legal officers. Benefits
