We are currently seeking to recruit caring, committed and reliable Senior Carer to join our friendly team at Red Gables in Bude


Westheath Care Homes (Staffing) Ltd provides care staff to five care homes owned and operated by a private company they are located in Bodmin, Lanivet, Lewannick (Nr Launceston) and Bude area.

We also have a Domiciliary Care Agency that also operates in Bodmin and the St Austell area.

All of which have obtained and maintained a 'Good' CQC rating.


We provide high standards of person-centred care to a wide range of elderly and disabled people from St Austell on the South coast to Bude on the North coast with a dedicated team of Care assistants and a strong team of experienced managers that have a high number of years in working in care.

Following an interview and an Enhanced DBS check will be carried out by the company on you prior to final confirmation of a job offer (this will be paid for by the company - but maybe repaid to the company should you leave within a 3-month period), you will be enrolled into our induction programme this will be followed by shadow shifts, enabling you to become confident in your new role.


Main objectives, to assist and support the Manager in ensuring the home meets the highest standards of care in accordance to the Care Quality Commissions 'Essential Standards of quality and Safety' and in accordance with Policies and Procedures.


Principle Duties
To participate in the working rota's, including weekends, evening and bank holidays as necessary.

To assist in the formulation of care plans for new and established service users.


To assist when authorised by the person in charge with the administration an issue of medication for which the business has taken responsibility and to maintain the necessary records.


To participate in the emotional and physical care of service users to provide as far as possible, a happy, stimulating, stable and safe environment.


To care and support the service users holistic, personal and mobility care needs in accordance with their individual care plans.

To carry out duties as required in accordance with currant, relevant legislation, in a competent and professional manner.

To ensure that all staff contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the business.

Key Requirements


Qualifications - NVQ level 3 Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) or working towards completion in 6 months.


Work experience - A minimum of 2 years' experience in a care setting, caring for the elderly.


Skills - Proficient verbal and written communication kills

The hours of work are negotiable by agreement with management.

In return, you can expect competitive rates of pay, a minimum number of contracted hours per week and also an equivalent to 6 weeks of annual leave per employment year (this will be your weekly contracted hours x 6)
