Member Account Executive

Circa £22,000 - £23,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Stevenage, Hertfordshire

This role is known internally as 'Membership Account Executive'.

What you'll be doing
Based in a friendly, hardworking team you'll support with maximising engagement from lead opportunities to convert into membership. Working collaboratively with the wider department you will contribute to the achievement to aid member recruitment and retention.

The communication will have an outbound focus, so a confident telephone manner is key

We're looking for someone with a strong customer service background and an interest in sales, you'll be a tenacious individual who is motivated to succeed.


As an excellent communicator you'll have the ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and work well with teams across the business.


Initial training for this role will take place in the office, once completed there will be the opportunity for Hybrid Working to take place.

A little more about the role

  • Follow up lead opportunities from all Corporate Partner, Regional Development, Armed Forces and Academic Partner activities
  • Promote IET products and services to relevant customers
  • Ensure our member contact services levels are maintained
  • Identify and provide feedback and suggestions on market intelligence to the wider teams
  • Represent IET Membership at events as needed.
  • Liaise with Partnership Scheme Manager to ensure smooth administration of new and existing members onto Third Party Schemes

A little more about what we're looking for

  • Experience dealing with people at all levels internally and externally.
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Ability to time manage and prioritise workload
  • Experience in processing payment details or handling highly sensitive information
  • Track record in a customer service environment. A background in supporting members would be advantageous.
  • Able to deliver excellent customer service, treating all customer equally and as individuals with different needs and experiences.
  • Good attention to detail
