Shift Pattern:
- The post holder will be required to work their contracted hours across shift patterns covering the hours of 07:00 am 20:00 pm, Monday
- Sunday inclusive of Bank Holidays
Duties:
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team within Sheffield Treatment and Recovery Team (START) the post holder will, under supervision develop recovery packages of care for service users who have alcohol/drug dependency problems
- Working in partnership with service users, carers and key agencies, you will ensure that there is effective liaison and communication between our integrated services, primary and secondary care services
Requirements of the Substance Misuse Recovery Worker:
- Recent experience within Substance Misuse, Substance Abuse, Addiction, Drug and Alcohol, Needle Exchange, or Recovery
- Be aware of and adhere to relevant policies i.e. lone worker policy
- Be aware and act in accordance with local and national policies related to safeguarding procedures
- Familiar with the signs and symptoms of abuse and know what to do if any such concerns are raised
- Be aware of the principles of risk management and adopt appropriate practice to reduce the risk to themselves and others
