SEN Teaching Assistant | South East London | Immediate Start
Are you a degree holder with an interest in working in primary education? Do you have some experience of working with children/young people?


Here at New Formation Education, we're working with a number of primary schools across London who are searching for new support staff to join their teams immediately.

We're currently working with primary schools that are looking for long-term, full-time classroom assistants, special needs support and those wanting to train as teachers in Greenwich, South East London.

If you're available for a minimum of one academic year, please read on

  • Hold a Degree in Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology, Education, Drama and Performing Arts. However, we welcome applicants with degrees beyond this
  • Have some experience working with children/young people in roles such youth work / mentoring / tutoring / childcare/ volunteering will all be considered. A willingness to learn is essential
  • Be positive, friendly, confident, outgoing, and unflappable under pressure
  • Have SEN experience whether it's professional or through personal experience
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • A genuine interest and enthusiasm for supporting the next generation of children
  • Be available fulltime (Monday-Friday 8.30am4pm)

THE ROLE
As a SEN teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in promoting positive learning experiences and supporting students' overall well-being


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Providing oneonone support to students who require additional help.
  • Monitoring and encouraging student progress, ensuring their emotional and academic needs are met.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other teaching assistants to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Offering guidance and mentoring to students facing challenges.

REQUIREMENTS


The starting rate for entry Teaching Assistants is £80- £90 per day and will be expected to rise as you continue to gain more experience within a school environment.
