Fundraising Communications Officer


We are seeking a Communications Officer to lead on communications aimed at donors, funders and the local community working for a charity whose aim is to help improve the lives of young people in Barnet by giving them somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.

Position:
Communications Officer (Fundraising)


Location:
Burnt Oak (London Borough of Barnet)


Salary:
£26,000 per annum pro rata


Hours:
Part time, 30 hours per week (including evenings & weekends)


Closing Date:
Friday 26th May


About the role:


Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Produce the required collateral and digital assets for the Fundraising team
  • Manage the charity website and Social Media accounts
  • Use analytics to monitor and improve the effectiveness and reach of the charity's online presence
  • Plan and create a wide range of communications and marketing materials both on and offline
  • Develop and maintain a library of media resources for use in annual campaigns
  • Design and publish Quarterly Update newsletters for donors and other stakeholders
  • Work with the Fundraising team to create, test and develop creative digital fundraising appeals

About you:

To be successful in the role of Fundraising Communications Officer you will need to bring with you the following skills and experience:

  • Proven Marketing and Communications experience
  • Experience of planning and managing income generating campaigns
  • Experience of managing digital campaigns
  • Experience of using a CRM system for logging and tracking stakeholder activity
  • Experience in social media and website management
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Competency at photo and video editing
  • Willing to develop knowledge of fundraising best practice, and legal requirements to individual giving
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office
