Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We're looking for a talented Night Transport Planner to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Wakefield site, working hours Mon - Fri


Pay, benefits and more:

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £28,000 per annum. We also offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days.

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Booking in orders for customer deliveries
  • Creating effective haulage plans in line with the customer's expectations and Service Level Agreements.
  • To have the ability to react and positively adapt to the demands of the customers in a dynamic live environment.
  • Consistency in communication with respect to planning changes and service delivery with both customers and supplier hauliers, this is critical and must be maintained at all times.
  • Work with the Finance Team to resolve customer and haulier issues.
  • A team player with a flexible approach to working hours, showing commitment as necessary to satisfying fluctuating business demands.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Experience of transport planning in a 3PL environment is desirable.
  • Good working knowledge of UK Geography.
  • Experience in using transport planning software.
  • Awareness of Large Good Vehicles and Trailer combination equipment types.
  • Successful tracking record in communication and building relationships with customers.
  • Experience in a challenging Customer Service environment.
