Wyman-Gordon is a world leading manufacturer of Nickel, Titanium and Steel alloy forgings for the aerospace, defence and energy sectors.

Part of the major American corporation, PCC, we are a global manufacturer of complex metal components and supply products worldwide to our prestigious blue-chip customers.

The role will be responsible for providing technical support to our operations team, this will include trouble shooting any non-conformance situations and proposing relevant solutions, technical report writing and analysis of data, as well as the preparation and maintenance of Methods of Manufacture and Heat Treatment instruction sheets.

You will also be involved in supporting with cost estimating, which will include input into the design of optimum forging shapes and forging processes.

In addition, you will play a key role in new part validation to include supervising the testing of validation packages to ensure customer specifications are met.

Working both as part of a team and taking the lead in the Metallurgy Department, you must be capable of working under your own initiative, often to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail with a particular focus on quality.

You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong IT capabilities.
