This post is for Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management.


The successful post holder will be involved in the day to day operation and maintenance of all Building/Engineering, life and business-critical services, plant and equipment within the Manufacturing Hub.

The successful applicant will already have M&E Building Services experience, in a Healthcare or similar environment. They must be versatile and be able to handle conflicting priorities with the ability to work under pressure. Prioritising workload according to service and business demand.

They will be computer literate, and have good technical knowledge and ability, with good verbal and written communication skills. They will also possess good interpersonal skills, allowing them to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel, within and beyond the organisation

They will carry out PAT (portable appliance testing) of trust assets, emergency light testing and legionella testing

They will maintain stock control within Estates stores, ordering and issuing parts where required.

Carrying out semi-skilled building and engineering jobs using own initiative, and undertaking unsupervised routine maintenance and minor repair work relevant to attained skills and training, including on domestic type appliances.


To provide a multi-skilled Mechanical & Electrical service provision for the Estates Department to all Client Departments and Business Units.

Ability to organise and prioritise own workload, where required, and work unsupervised.


Must demonstrate total commitment, versatility and flexibility whilst undertaking all tasks and delegated work as instructed by Estates Officers, Managers and other Operational Site Leads.
