Part-time: 21 hours hours per week

The Opportunity:
Edinburgh College of Art are seeking to appoint a proactive, organised and efficient individual to join the Student and Academic Support Service (SASS) as a Student Adviser.
Student Advisers provide a first contact point for students within ECA, offering guidance and academic-related support to those navigating the University support systems.
Working closely with academic and professional services teams, the role will enable students to achieve their potential, as well as ensure parity of experience for all students.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support students to fully participate and succeed in their chosen courses of study, working closely with University academic and support staff and external agencies as required.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Educated to HND level, or equivalent related experience
- Experience of working independently and ability to prioritise workloads in the face of conflicting demands
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to the complex areas of student support
- Excellent interpersonal skills ability to remain calm and centre the needs of the student, being able to provide a safe and welcoming space for students in distress. Good administrative, organisational and IT skills
