The Role:

Our Technical team work closely together in a busy environment, ensuring that all expectations are exceeded by providing the highest quality services to each event.

We need an experienced AV technician, with a specialism in lighting, to help fulfil our vision of being the best event campus in Europe.

This position is vital to our commitment of delivering first class production experiences within the Conference and Exhibition Sector.

Technical expertise and dedication is paramount as this job will be continually focussed on exceeding client expectations, providing services to a wide range of events, including conferences, concerts, corporate meetings, and more.


Duties will be spread across the various elements of AV delivery - video, lighting, and conference streaming services are all within remit.

There will be a particular emphasis on lighting delivery and a focus on how to improve SEC performance in this area.


Key responsibilities include:
Working as an AV technician or Lighting Technician at allocated events.

The setup, operation, and maintenance of conference AV and Lighting equipment across various meeting spaces and auditoria.

Collaborate with clients and event organisers to understand their requirements and execute accordingly.

Execute lighting cues during live events, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal visual effects.

Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-the-spot solutions during events.

Assist with equipment inventory management and organisation.

Uphold safety protocols and adhere to health and safety regulations.

You will be required to fulfil 37 hours over a 7-day week. We have a competitive overtime rate for any additional work undertaken.

We are looking for a motivated team player to join our busy Conference and Exhibition technical team. As a multi-disciplined technician or operative, who is comfortable behind a lighting desk and delivering general AV requirements, principally in the Conference sector you should embrace our mission,

You should be hands-on, passionate, and flexible, skilled in multi-tasking, with a dedicated and enthusiastic attitude.

Clear and concise communication skills are imperative as you display confidence while working with an array of clients in different event environments.


Desirable Experience:

Proven experience as a Lighting Technician in live events, entertainment, or related fields.

Proficiency with lighting control software and hardware (Avolite, Robe, Martin).

Strong knowledge of various lighting fixtures, colour theory, and lighting design principles.

Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-paced environments.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.

A passion for lighting design and a creative mindset.

Understanding of rigging and electrical systems.


Preferred Qualifications:

Formal training or certification in lighting design or a related field.

Familiarity with Vectorworks for lighting design.
